AFC Delegation to Visit Iran in May
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Asian Football Confederation (AFC) supervisors will travel to Tehran in May to make an initial assessment of the country’s facilities in contention to host 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
Iran has submitted its bid to host the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
After unsuccessful bid to host the 2011 AFC Asian Cup, Iran has renewed its intention to host the next edition of the greatest football event in Asia.
Iran has previously hosted the editions in 1968 and 1976.
The six-man delegation, will make an assessment of venues, infrastructure and airports in the visit.
Iran, the UAE, Thailand and Kuwait have expressed their interests in hosting the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
