Delegates from 56 Countries to Take Part in Holy Quran Competition in Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Endowment and Charity Affairs Organization spokesman said representatives from more than 56 countries have signed up to participate in the upcoming Holy Quran competition in Tehran.
“Up to now, Holy Quran reciters and memorizers from more than 56 countries have announced their preparedness to participate in the 31st international Quran competition in the Islamic Republic of Iran, as the biggest Quranic event in the Muslim world,” Hassan Rabiyee stated on Monday.
He also said that the international event is scheduled to be held in Tehran from May 26 to June 2.
Rabiyee also touched upon the organizers of the 31st international Quran competition, and said that 9 committees have been established to hold the event and various activities have been put on their agenda.
He also pointed to the deadline for registration of delegates to attend the competition, saying reciters and memorizers from Islamic and non-Islamic countries have the opportunity to announce their preparedness until May 22.
Last year, over 110 reciters and memorizers from 75 world countries took part in the 30th edition of Tehran international Quran competitions and displayed their talents.
