Asian Games: Iran Wins One Gold, Two Silvers in Shooting
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian 18-year-old Najmeh Khedmati claimed a gold medal in the women's 10m air rifle on Monday.
Khedmati, who is ranked 124th in the world, won the gold medal with a points total of 207.9.
Iran’s Narjes Emamgholinejad Andevari claimed the silver with 206.6 points and bronze medal went to Chinese Zhang Binbin (186.3).
In the team event, the Chinese trio of Yi Siling, Wu Liuxi and Zhang Binbin won the gold medal with a combined tally of 1,253.8 points which will be counted as a world record under new shooting regulations.
The silver medal went to Iranian trio of Najmeh Khedmati, Narjes Emamgholinejad Andevari and Elaheh Ahmadi, with a total score of 1245.9.
South Korea grabbed bronzed with 1241.6.
