Iran’s Olympic Team to Play Denmark, Official Says
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Olympic football team will play a friendly against Denmark on January 26, the vice-president of Iran Football Federation (IFF) said.
Coach-less Iran will have to prepare itself for the AFC U-23 Championship qualifiers, where it has been placed in Group C along with Saudi Arabia, Nepal, Palestine, and Afghanistan.
“The Olympic football team will hold a training camp in the Kish Island from December 15 to 27. The team will also travel to Kuwait or Emirates to hold a camp from December 28 to January 1," Mohammad Hadi Ayatollahi said.
“The Olympic football team will hold a camp in Antalia and play a friendly against Denmark in the camp on January 26,” The vice-president of Iran Football Federation added.
Iran football team has not participated in the Olympics since 1976 Montreal.
