Iran’s Defense Projects Unaffected by Sanctions: Commander

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh asserted that the country’s defensive capabilities have improved without being influenced by the anti-Iran sanctions.

“Sanctions have no bearing on the process of Iran’s defense programs,” Hajizadeh said on Sunday on the sidelines of a ceremony for the mass delivery of two long-range ballistic missiles, Qadr and Qiam, to the IRGC.

“The host of products we received for the country’s defensive purposes, have been achieved under the sanctions that the enemies described as tough and stinging,” the commander added.

He also reiterated that Iran’s defensive capabilities, particularly the ballistic missiles, will be never negotiable.

“This is the message that the bullying powers with excessive demands should understand.”

Tehran has repeatedly announced the issue of its defensive capabilities will by no means be mooted in the nuclear negotiations with world powers.
