We Made Mistakes with Our Spikes: Iran Coach Slobodan Kovac
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian national volleyball team's coach Slobodan Kovac hit out at his team due to bad performance against Poland in the FIVB World League.
Iran lost to Poland 3-1 (23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-19) in Pool B encounters in Tehran’s Azadi Hall on Sunday evening.
“First of all, congratulations to Poland. They played well and they won. We started the first set very well. After that, in the second and third sets, we made mistakes especially with our spikes,” Kovac said in the post-match news conference.
“At this level, we cannot make these mistakes."
"When we play against a team like Poland, we must put them under pressure with our serves and we did not play that well. I am sorry because our fantastic fans gave us so much energy; we did not use that energy,” he added.
