Iran’s Hadipour Takes Gold at Kazakhstan Open Taekwondo Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Armin Hadipour of Iran claimed a gold medal at the Kazakhstan Open Taekwondo Championships 2015 on Sunday.
The Iranian athlete defeated Uzbekistan’s Valentin Khegay in the -54kg in the final match and won the gold medal.
Mohammad Kazemi also from Iran was knocked out in the weight category after being defeated by Kazakhstan’s representative.
Behnam Asbaghi, Armin Hadipour, Mohammad Kazemi, Farzad Zolghadr and Omid Amidi are representing Iran in the tournament.
The Kazakhstan Open Taekwondo Championships has brought a total of 369 athletes from 33 countries together in Almaty.
