Sierra Leonean Parliamentary Group to Arrive in Tehran


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sierra Leon's parliamentary friendship group is to visit Iran on Tuesday, a advisor to Iran's parliament speaker announced Saturday.

Parliament Speaker's Advisor Hossein Shiekoleslam told Tasnim that the Sierra Leonean parliamentary group was scheduled to arrive in Tehran today, but their visit was delayed due to some glitches.

The group will have a meeting with Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani during their four day visit and have at tour of Iran’s Qom city.

The Iranian host of the Sierra Leonean group is Hojjatoleslam Sobhaninia, who invited them to visit Iran during his visit to that country a few years ago.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif announced on August 21 that expansion of ties and cooperation with African countries is a high  priority for Iran's foreign diplomacy.
