Envoy: Belarus Seeking Closer Cooperation with Iran's Central Province
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Belarusian Ambassador to Iran Victor Ryhak, who paid a daylong visit to Iran’s central Province of Markazi on Sunday, voiced his country's willingness to expand economic cooperation with the key Iranian province.
The Belarus ambassador who was visiting two major industrial units in the provincial capital city of Arak stressed that the province, with its industrial, tourism and agricultural capacities, can play a key role in boosting mutual economic cooperation between Iran and Belarus.
The economic development of Iran and Belarus depends on agreements between the two countries’ merchants and industrialists.
He noted that decisions made at the Joint Economic Commission of Iran and Belorussia to increase mutual cooperation have been implemented step-by-step.
Iran and Belarus have developed good relations in recent years, particularly in the economic and trade sectors and have signed a number of agreements to shore up bilateral cooperation.
In 2010, Iran inaugurated a large copper wire factory and the second phase of Samand car assembly line in Belarus.
