Iran’s Army Felicitates Anniversary of Victory of Islamic Revolution


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian Army on Monday congratulated the nation on the 35th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, and called on the whole walks of life in Iran to attend the mass rallies that are to take place on February 11 to mark the event.

In a Monday statement released on the eve of the 35th anniversary of the victory Islamic Revolution (1979), the army asked the Iranians to take part in the mass rallies tomorrow, noting that participation in the forthcoming marches would display “the dignity and grandeur of Iran’s Islamic Revolution” to the world.

“The celebration of the 35th anniversary of the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution will be held this year in conditions that further vigilance and unity among the nation and officials is needed more than before,” the statement added.

In relevant remarks on Saturday, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei stated that the Islamic establishment in Iran receives its impetus from the public supports and the nation’s solidarity with the government.

Ayatollah Khamenei further ensured that the Iranian nation will once again express their “national dignity” to the world during the forthcoming mass rallies on February 11.

Every year in February, Iranian people pour into the streets in their millions to commemorate the victory of the popular movement led by the late Imam Khomeini against the ousted West-backed Shah of Iran in 1979.
