Syrian Army Ambush Kills 20 Terrorists in Adra


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Syrian Army on Monday launched successful operations against the armed terrorist groups across the country, starting from an ambush in the industrial area of Adra in Damascus countryside.

Terrorists were trying to flee from the Eastern Ghota into Bi’er al-Kasab and al-Dmair, when national military killed 20 members of the so-called Jaish al-Islam (Islam army) and arrested others.

"Army detected the movement of a terrorist group affiliated to Jaish al-Islam towards Adra area. These terrorists intended to flee all the way to training camps in Jordan . Army units set a tight perimeter around them and prevented them from escaping, killing 20 of them, arresting several, and confiscating their weapons ," a field source told SANA news agency.

In Aleppo, army units targeted terrorists’ gatherings in al-Rashideen , killing and injuring a number of them.

Army units also destroyed a number of the terrorists’ cars in the industrial city, Efrin, Alliramoon, Handarat, al-Jandol and Khan Touman.

Other army units targeted terrorists in al-Atareb, Andan, al-Tamourah, Kafr Joum, al-Jbaileh, Ma’art al-Artiq, Khan al-Assal, Oroum, Kafr Aleppo, Haritan, al-Zqabdiyeh, al-Mansourah and Daret Azzah, killing and injuring a number of them.

In Homs, authorities stormed a terrorist den in al-Ghota neighborhood in cooperation with residents and arrested one terrorist, and also confiscated weapons, ammunition, modern communication devices and computers.

The seized weapons include 29 grenades, five machineguns and several pistols.

Army unit destroyed a terrorist den near al-Samdi Gas Station in Rastan city, which was used by “al-Qayiem battalion” for planning criminal operations. The unit arrested tens of terrorists and their leader, according to SANA.
