IRGC Navy Develops Advanced Hull for Speed Boats

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy has achieved an advanced type of hull for its speed boats, a top commander said.

Addressing a national conference on speedy vessels here in Tehran on Wednesday, Lieutenant Commander of the IRGC Navy Rear Admiral Majid Zamani Ghale’e elaborated on the latest achievements of the IRGC naval forces, including an advanced hull for the speed boats.

He noted that the high-tech product enables the IRGC speed vessels to move faster.

According to the commander, the IRGC naval forces have also attained “advanced power transmission systems” exclusively developed for the speed boats.

Among the other remarkable achievements in the sphere of speed vessels is a special telecommunication system, which the commander said has never appeared anywhere in the world before.

Earlier in the day, IRGC Navy Commander Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi announced that his forces have formulated plans to achieve the speedy boats with the breakneck speed of 80 knots.

“Not any navy in the world has still envisaged the speeds higher than 35 knots,” Fadavi said in the same conference.

Rear Admiral Fadavi made clear that the IRGC Navy is currently in possession of advanced speed boats that move at 60 knots, while the US forces have been able to acquire speedy boats with only the maximum speed of 40 knots.

The commander also explained that the IRGC speedy vessels now in service are equipped with the state-of-the-art military equipment and missiles.

“Today, our vessels have been armed with different missile launchers,” he added.
