Iran Squad for World Cup Announced


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian national football team coach Carlos Queiroz announced the final list for the 2014 World Cup in which Arsenal target Sardar Azmoun has been left out.

Carlos Queiroz named his 23 for Brazil with Azmoun and Persepolis midfielder Mohammad Reza Khalatbari have been left out of his list.

Iran will face Nigeria, Argentina and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2014 World Cup Group F.

Their first match pits them on June 16 against Nigeria. Iran will play Argentina and Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 21 and June 25, respectively.

Zob Ahan defender Mohammad Reza Khanzadeh is a reserve player and could replace Hashem Beikzadeh, who is injured against Belarus.
