Iranian, Malian Speakers Confer on Expansion of Parliamentary Ties


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and his Malian counterpart Issiaka Sidibe in a meeting on Monday discussed the parliamentary relations between Tehran and Bamako.

In the meeting, held in Iran’s capital of Tehran, the two senior lawmakers also exchanged views on the regional and international developments.

Heading a delegation of 7 Malian legislators, Sidibe arrived in Tehran on the weekend to attend the 2nd parliamentary meeting of the "friends of Syria". Parliamentary delegations from 30 countries which was wrapped up on Sunday.

Iranian diplomatic authorities have already made it clear that the expansion of ties with the African countries is a high foreign policy priority for the Islamic Republic.
