We Need Miracle against Argentina, Queiroz Says

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian national football team coach Carlos Queiroz said his team needs a miracle to beat Argentina.

Iran will play favorite Argentina in Group F of the 2014 World Cup on Saturday.

The Iranian team drew 0-0 with Nigeria in its opening match.

“Against Argentina, we need a miracle to defeat them. They are one the best teams in the world,” Queiroz was quoted as saying by Argentine state-run news agency Telam.

Argentina has one day more to rest and is in the better condition, the Portuguese added.

Former Real Madrid and Portugal coach said he is concerned not only about Lionel Messi but also about the rest of the Albicelestes players.

“Messi is not a human. He is an incredible player; however all the other players also worry me. (Angel) Di Maria, (Gonzalo) Higuain and (Javier) Mascherano are the great players," he added.
