Esteghlal Midfielder Teymourian Extends Contract
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Andranik Teymourian signed a new contract with Tehran's popular football team, Esteghlal, until 2016.
Teymourian played for the Iranian national football team in the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
“I had offers from several Iranian teams but as I’ve always said I just play for Esteghlal in the country. I have also received an offer from a Qatari club but I’d rather stay here because of my personal reasons,” Teymourian said.
“I will give my best in Esteghlal. I think we are a good team and will challenge for the title,” he added.
Esteghlal is currently holding a training camp in Turkey to prepare for the 14th edition of the Iran Professional League, which will kick off on July 31.
