Japanese Football Association Vice-President Meets IFF Chief


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Tashima Kohzo, the vice-president and executive general secretary of the Japan Football Association, met the Iranian top football officials on Monday.

The Japanese top official was welcomed by Ali Kaffashian, head of Iran Football Federation (IFF), and Secretary General of IFF Mahdi Mohammad Nabi at the headquarters of the Iran Football Federation in Tehran.

“Iran showed a good performance in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Iran and Japan are important pillars of the Asian Football Confederation and we should help the Asian countries make good progress,” Kohzo said.

“Iran played well against Argentina in the World Cup and the last minutes’ goal from Lionel Messi didn’t let you to return to the match,” he added.

Kohzo also met Iran U-23 football team coach Nelo Vingada and requested him to arrange the friendly matches and preparation camp.
