Samad Marfavi Steps Down as Saba Coach


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Samad Marfavi has stepped down as head coach of Saba due to travel conditions.

Saba was held to a 2-2 draw by Rah Ahan in the Iranian Professional League (IPL) on Friday and Marfavi announced his retirement right away in the post match news conference.

“I am tired of traveling from Tehran to Qom and I decided to quit my job,” Marfavi said.

“Of course, some other things didn’t let me to work there,” he added.

Marfavi was appointed as Saba coach in November 2013 for a second stint.

Saba is eighth in the Iranian Professional League after seven weeks.
