Iran Maintains Perfect Run at Youth Volleyball Championship


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran volleyball team beat Australia in straight sets (25–14, 25–12, 25–17) in quarterfinals round of the 2014 Asian Youth Boys Volleyball Championship in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Thursday.

In the semifinals round, Iran will meet China.

Defending champion Iran has already defeated Qatar, India, Bahrain, South Korea, and Japan in the tournament. 

Elsewhere, Chinese Taipei will play Japan in the other semifinals.

Iran is the most decorated team with six titles in the last nine editions. 

Asian Youth Boys Volleyball Championship is held every two years. The top four teams will qualify directly to the FIVB Boys U-19 World Championship 2015.
