Iran’s Hossein Askari Takes Bronze in Men's Individual Time Trial


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Hossein Askari from Iran took a bronze medal at the men's individual time trial in the 2014 Asian Games on Saturday.

Askari claimed the bronze medal with a time of 51:19.77 minutes. 

Alexey Lutsenko from Kazakhstan won the gold medal, clocking 50:28.78 minutes and Evgenii Vakker from Kyrgyzstan finished in second place with 51:01.69 minutes.

Some 9,500 athletes from 45 countries are competing at the Games, the world's second-biggest multi-sport event after the summer Olympics, with 439 gold medals in 36 sports up for grabs.

Iran has participated in the games with 276 athletes in 22 sports.
