French Newspaper Attacked in Paris by Gunmen


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Paris police said shots have been fired at a French satirical newspaper, killing several people.

A police official in Paris told the Associated Press on Wednesday, that at least one journalist was killed, and three police officers were injured during the attack on the newspaper.

Police had few details on Wednesday's attack on the weekly, Charlie Hebdo. Benoit Bringer, a journalist with Agence Premiere Ligne who saw the attack, told the iTele network he saw several masked men armed with machine guns.

Armed gunmen stormed the offices of French satirical weekly leaving "casualties", said the publication's cartoonist.

"I think there are casualties," Renaud Luzier told AFP.
