Iran’s General Soleimani Met with Nasrallah after Quneitra Attack: Report


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Commander of the IRGC Quds Force Major General Qassem Soleimani is reported to have met with Hezbollah leader in Beirut following a recent Israeli attack on Hezbollah fighters in Syria’s Quneitra region.

According to Al Mayadeen TV channel, General Soleimani held talks in Beirut with Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah and other officials from the Lebanese resistance movement 48 hours after the attack.

The senior Iranian commander also met with and expressed condolences to the family of Jihad Mughniyeh who was martyred in the Israeli strike.

On January 18, a Zionist military helicopter gunship fired two missiles into Amal Farms in Quneitra region.

Six Hezbollah fighters, including Jihad Mughniyeh, the son of Hezbollah’s martyred top military commander, Imad Mughniyeh, as well as senior IRGC commander Brigadier General Mohammad Ali Allahdadi were killed in the strike.

Allahdadi had traveled to Syria to provide consultation and help the Syrian government and nation counter the Takfiri terrorists in the country.

On Wednesday, January 28, Hezbollah forces targeted an Israeli convoy in Shebaa Farms, north of the occupied territories and near the Lebanese border.

The Lebanese movement said that a group from Hezbollah fighters named “The Martyrs of Quneitra” targeted the Israeli convoy in retaliation for the Quneitra attack.

Several Israeli soldiers were killed and tens of others were injured during the attack by Hezbollah.
