Iranian Cleric Asks Muslims to Introduce True Islam to World

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A top Iranian cleric called on Muslims from every walk of life all over the world to try to illustrate the true image of Islam in order to thwart the Western plots that aim to attribute violence to Islam.

“From any country, you (Muslims) are duty-bound to demonstrate the true image of the Prophet (Muhammad (PBUH)),” Tehran's Provisional Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani said, addressing a large congregation of Iranian people in the capital.

Muslim teachers, students, merchants and all others have an obligation to deliver Islamic books to the young people of America and Europe, the cleric underlined.

He said a recent letter by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei to youths in Europe and North America was an example of the duty a Muslim has to introduce Islam.

Back on January 21, Ayatollah Khamenei wrote a letter in English asking European and North American youths not to judge Islam based on the recent terrorist attacks in Paris.

In his historic letter, Imam Khamenei asked Western youths to try to gain a direct and firsthand knowledge of the religion in reaction to the flood of prejudgments and disinformation campaigns.

“Don’t allow them to hypocritically introduce their own recruited terrorists as representatives of Islam,” Ayatollah Khamenei stressed in the letter.

Elsewhere in the Friday prayers sermon, Ayatollah Emami Kashani said the Leader’s letter was neither political nor an invitation to convert to Islam, but only obedience to God’s order to remind people of the reality.
