Iran’s Persepolis Edges Bunyodkor in ACL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Tehran's Persepolis football team defeated Uzbekistan’s Bunyodkor 1-0 in Group A of the AFC Champions League on Tuesday.

Persepolis opened the campaign with a promising 3-0 victory over Qatar’s Lekhwiya last week.
Mehdi Taromi was brought down inside the penalty area in the 20th minute and Persepolis captain Mohammad Nouri converted the penalty to give the visiting team a lead.
Uzbekistani team dominated much of the game but was thwarted by a fine goalkeeping display from Persepolis's Sosha Makani.
Persepolis strengthened its grip at the top of Group A with six points.
Qatar’s Lekhwiya will face Al Nasr of Saudi Arabia in another match in the group today.
