Iranian FM Due in Spain, Portugal


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif plans to leave Tehran for the Spanish capital of Madrid on Tuesday to meet with the country’s high-ranking officials before a visit to Portugal.

Heading a high-ranking delegation, Zarif will visit Madrid and Lisbon at the invitation of his Spanish and Portuguese counterparts.

During his visit to the two Latin European countries, the Iranian foreign minister will meet the two countries’ high-ranking officials and hold talks on various issues, including ways to promote bilateral relations.

He is also slated to exchange views with the Spanish and Portuguese officials on the latest developments in the region and the world.
