Iran's Persepolis Coach Branko Calls for Fans’ Support against Bunyodkor

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis of Tehran head coach Branko Ivankovic called on fans to come to Stadium to support the team in the match against Bunyodkor.

Persepolis will face Uzbekistani team on Wednesday in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.

Group A leader Lekhwiya of Qatar needs just a draw at Al Nassr to advance but the desperate Saudi host won’t give up without a fight.

Persepolis can, too, take heart from its solitary-goal home victory against Paykan as they seek three points against eliminated Bunyodkor.

“Persepolis has just one goal against Bunyodkor. We want to defeat them and we hope to do that with the help of our fans,” Branko said.

“I’ve analyzed Bunyodkor’s previous matches and I believe that it is not an easy opponent. Definitely, we will have a difficult match against Bunyodkor,” the Croat added.

“We aren't taking anything for granted,” Branko added.
