Iran's Kia Football Academy Comes 2nd in Cordial Cup


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran lost to TSV 1860 München 7-6 in penalty shootout and finished in the second place in Cordial Cup.

The two teams drew 1-1 in regulation time.

The U-11 tournament took place in the Kitzbueheler Alps from May 22nd to 25th.

The Cordial Cup is the best supported youth football tournament in Europe. Over 3000 players in 164 teams compete for the coveted trophy.

Kia Football Academy is coached by Mehdi Mahdavikia, who played for VfL Bochum, Hamburger SV and Eintracht Frankfurt and Hamburg SV from the 1998 to 2010.
