Poland Ready to Defeat Iran, Antiga Says

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Polish national volleyball team's coach Stephane Antiga believes that they are well-prepared to beat Iran in Tehran.

Poland will play Iran in Tehran’s Azadi Hall on Friday and Sunday in Week 7 of the FIVB World League.

“We are fully ready for two matches against Iran despite the difficult conditions,” Antiga said in the pre-match news conference.

“As you know, Bartosz Kurek cannot play because of back injury but his substitute has spent a very good season in Poland and is ready for the match."

"We are familiar with these kinds of conditions since we had such a case in Brazil last year,” he added.

USA leads Pool B with 17 points, while Iran is in third place with 13 points. Poland is second with 16 points and Russia has just two points.
