Iran's President: Muslim Unity to Help Palestinian Nation Reach Goals
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said unity and resistance will help all Muslims, including the Palestinian nation, achieve their goals.
"The future is quite bright (and it is clear) that with the unity and solidarity of Muslims, resistance, persistence and devotion, all Muslims, including the Palestinian nation, will reach their goals," the Iranian president said on Friday, while attending a procession in Tehran to mark the International Quds Day.
He also expressed gratitude to the "great Iranian nation" for attending the Quds Day mass rallies.
Iranian people from every walk of life poured into streets across the country on Friday to observe the International Quds Day in a show of support for the oppressed nation of Palestine.
Millions of fasting Iranians participated in the nationwide rallies this morning to express solidarity with the Palestinian people, who have been suffering from Israel's atrocities for decades.
Each year, the International Quds Day is celebrated on the last Friday of the holy Muslim month of Ramadan.
The day is known as the legacy of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, who officially declared the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as International Quds Day back in 1979.
