Iran's Parliament to Review Nuclear Conclusion in Detail: MP

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The spokesman for the Iranian parliament's national security and foreign policy commission said the parliament will closely examine the text of a document Iran and major world powers recently finalized on Tehran's nuclear energy program.

The national security and foreign policy commission as well as a 15-strong specialized commission will review the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in full detail, Nozar Shafiee told the Tasnim News Agency.

Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) on July 14 concluded more than two weeks of intensive nuclear talks in Vienna, Austria.

The negotiations resulted in a comprehensive 159-page document known as JCPOA on Iran's peaceful nuclear program.

Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Tuesday submitted the finalized text to the parliament.

Shafiee further hailed as "very precious" the achievements of the Iranian team of negotiators in the nuclear talks with the Group 5+1 (also known as the P5+1 or E3+3).

On Wednesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani also praised the country's negotiating team, saying that they managed to protect the Iranian nations' rights.

The nuclear team's achievements made proud not only the Iranian nation but also all supporters of the Islamic Revolution, he stated.
