Iran's Beach Soccer Team Wins Friendship Cup Belarus 2015
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian national beach soccer team claimed the title of Friendship Cup Belarus 2015 on Sunday.
Marco Octavio’s men defeated Belarus 3-2 and won the title.
Amir Hossein Akbari and Mohammad Moradi were selected as the top goalscorers of the tournament with four goals each.
Iran had just recently finished its campaign at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Portugal 2015, where it finished in sixth place after qualifying for the quarter-final and falling just short of the semis.
Estonia came third after defeating Turkey 5-4.
