Minister: Turkey Favors Iran’s Economic Upturn

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz said that his country is interested in Iran’s economic upturn.

Taner Yildiz said the removal of sanctions against Iran will make changes to world’s oil prices from which Ankara will benefit, Hurriyet newspaper reported.

He added that Iran is an influential power in international and regional equations.

Turkish minister’s remarks came after finalization of talks between Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) over Tehran’s nuclear program.

Dubbed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the deal would subject the parties to comply with a series of commitments, resulting in the termination of sanctions on Iran in exchange for certain restrictions on Tehran’s nuclear program during a defined period of time.

Experts believe that Iran’s economic growth would rise remarkably after the final nuclear deal takes effect.
