Iran Learns Opponents in FIVB Volleyball Men’s U-23 World Championship


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran has been drawn in Pool B of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U-23 World Championship along with Russia, Mexico, Cuba, Tunisia and Turkey.

Pool A consists of host the UAE, Argentina, title-holder Brazil, Egypt, Italy and South Korea.

The second edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U-23 World Championship will take place in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates from August 24 to 31.

The 12 teams will play a round-robin tournament to determine the ranking from first to sixth.

The top two teams in both pools will progress to the semifinals and finals. The third and fourth placed teams from the pool stage will enter a similar playoff format playing for classification from fifth to eighth.
