Israel Fires 12 Flare Bombs over South Lebanon

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Israeli army fired at least 12 flare bombs overnight from its Fashkoul headquarters inside the occupied part of the southern village of Abbasieh over the Shebaa Farms and Kfar Shuba, a security source told The Daily Star Saturday.

Israeli drones violated Lebanese air space to accompany the firing of flare bombs that are used to illuminate the night sky for reconnaissance purposes.

The Daily Star source said that the Lebanese Army in coordination with UNIFIL monitored the situation from their positions along the border.

Israel violates Lebanon’s airspace on a nearly daily basis in violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.
