Iran Volleyball Coach Akbari: UAE Match A Preparation for S. Korea
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran's coach Peyman Akbari considers the match against the UAE in the 2015 FIVB Men's U-23 World Championship opener as preparation for South Korea game.
Iran opened the competition with a convincing 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-20) win over host the United Arab Emirates in Pool A.
“I want to thank the UAE for what they did against us. They did their best throughout the match," Akbari said in the post match news conference.
"I consider this match as an important preparation for the second match against Korea,” he added.
“This will be one of the most important games in the first round as it will determine the real competition for the second round qualification,” he added.
