Enemy Capacities Undermined by IRGC: Top Commander

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Performance of Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Qassem Soleimani has put the enemy’s capacities in tatters, a top IRGC commander said, adding that Iran's defense capability has forced enemies to change behavior.

Today, the commander of the Quds Force has managed to put the enemy’s political and security capacities under the threat decline, IRGC Lieutenant Commander Brigadier General Hossein Salami said in a gathering of IRGC commanders and officials in Tehran on Tuesday.

Pointing to the IRGC’s achievement of “great defensive and deterrent power”, Salami said the Aerospace Division of the force is now capable of opening heavy fire on any spot it wants to.

“We have been able to nullify the enemy’s military power and force them to change their manner,” the top commander noted.

Earlier this month, IRGC Commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari underlined the high level of Iran’s military readiness, saying what has really restrained the enemies from carrying out their threats of taking military action against Iran is the country’s defense power and weapons.

The Iranian nation’s defensive and revolutionary morale, the country’s wise and brave leadership, as well as “military technologies” in the missile industry and “preparedness of the armed forces” in the ground, naval and air force units are the main deterrent factors, the commander stressed.
