Islamic Iran More Powerful than Ever: IRGC Commander

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari on Wednesday highlighted Iran’s defense and security power, saying that the country has never been so strong.

“We firmly announce that the Islamic Iran has not enjoyed such defense and security power and capabilities and prepared forces in different social arenas any time before,” Major General Jafari stressed.

He made the remarks in a meeting of IRGC commanders and officials with Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei here in Tehran.

The Iranian commander also reassured that the IRGC will defend the “principles, values, and achievements of the (1979) Islamic Revolution” using its full capacity.

Major General Jafari further warned that the IRGC would never allow paving the way for the enemy’s infiltration into the country.

Ayatollah Khamenei on Wednesday met a large group of IRGC commanders and figures in the Iranian capital of Tehran.

During the meeting, the Supreme Leader urged vigilance in the face of enemy ploys to gain a political and cultural foothold in Iran, warning that the consequences of such infiltration would be much worse than that of enemy’s economic influence.

“Economic and security infiltration is of course dangerous and has dire consequences, but the enemy’s political and cultural infiltration (into Iran) is a much more serious threat that everyone should be vigilant about,” Imam Khamenei said today.
