Iran's Rouhani, France's Hollande to Meet in New York Sunday
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and his French counterpart Francois Hollande plan to hold talks in New York tomorrow.
The meeting between the two presidents will take place on the sidelines of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly.
On Friday, the Iranian president also sat down with Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff and Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven.
In the meantime, US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman said on Friday in Washington that the US Secretary of State John Kerry is expected to meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif at the United Nations in a bid to discuss the implementation of the July 14 nuclear agreement as well as the Syrian crisis.
President Rouhani, at the head of a high ranking delegation, is attending the 70th session of the UN General Assembly underway at the UN Headquarters.
Top diplomats attending the session discuss a broad range of crucial issues, including human rights, disarmament, nuclear safety and global terrorism.
