Iran’s Nasiri Collects Silver at IPC Athletics World Championships
TEHRAN(Tasnim)- Peyman Nasiri Bazanjani of Iran claimed a silver medal in the men’s 1,500m T20 at the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships.
The Iranian finished in second place with a time of 3:56.53.
Michael Brannigan from USA hit the front with 70 metres remaining and held off Nasiri to take gold in a championship record 3:56.50.
Bronze medal went to Russia’s Alexander Rabotnitskiy (3:58.23).
Iran’s Mohammad Khalvandi and Mohsen Hosseinipanah claimed two gold medals so far in the men’s javelin F57 and shot put F35 respectievly.
Sajad Mohammadian (shot put F42), Ali Mohammadyari (discus throw F56 ) and Saman Pakbaz (shot put F12) have won three silver medals and Mohsen Kaedi claimed a bronze medal in javelin F34.
