Yemeni Forces Destroy another Saudi Warship: Report

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Yemen army, backed by Popular Committees loyal to the Houthi Ansarullah movement, destroyed a Saudi warship in the waters southwest of Yemen, media reports said Saturday.

Yemen’s al-Masirah TV said on Saturday that the warship was successfully targeted as it was sailing off the coast of Mocha in the Red Sea.

It was not immediately clear how the allied forces managed to sink the vessel but it came hours after two Saudi boats were destroyed in the same area by rounds of Katyusha rockets fired from the positions of Ansarullah and the Yemeni army on the mainland, Press TV reported.

Masirah said the Saudi warship was completely destroyed in the Saturday attack, adding that it was the fourth naval ship belonging to the regime in Riyadh and its allies that have been drowned over the past months.

Saudi Arabia has deployed its vessels around the coasts of Yemen in an attempt to support its airstrikes and to maintain a crippling blockade on the poorest nation of the Arabian Peninsula.
