Iran’s Shafielavijeh Bags Silver at Asian Archery Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Afsaneh Shafielavijeh of Iran claimed a silver medal in the women’s compound of the 2015 Asian Archery Championships.
The Iranian woman archer lost to Jyothi Surekha Vennam 141:137 in Bangkok, Thailand, on Saturday.
Bronze medal went to Wu Ting-Ting TPE from Chinese Taipei.
Esmaeil Ebadi of Iran also won a bronze medal in the men’s compound.
India’s Rajat Chauhan defeated South Korea’s Choi Yong Hee in the final match of the event.
In the compound mixed event, the Iranian team comprising Esmaeil Ebadi and Afsaneh Shafielavijeh seized the silver medal after being defeated by South Korea’s Song Yun Soo and Kim Jongho157:154.
