Iran’s Top General Warns against Wrong Moves in Persian Gulf
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Army Commander Major General Ataollah Salehi cautioned foreign forces that any inappropriate action in the Persian Gulf will draw a forceful reaction.
No power can think of making any wrong move in the Persian Gulf region as “it will encounter an all-out force,” Major General Salehi said in Iran’s southern port city of Bushehr on Wednesday.
The commander also highlighted Iran’s increasing military might, saying the enemies have realized that they cannot “do a damn thing” against the Islamic Republic even with their advanced military equipment.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran’s power is such that we will not allow any (wrong) move” in the region, he added.
The top commander further gave an assurance that unity among the neighbors and Muslims will cut off the hands of mercenaries from the region.
Elsewhere, the commander labeled terrorists as “armies of outlaws”, saying Iran is quite confident -according to evidence and documents- that the Daesh (ISIL) terrorist group has been brought into being by the US, the Zionist regime of Israel’s plots and the supports offered by their misled allies.
The commander made the comments at a ceremony held to unveil a number of military equipment at Bushehr naval base.
One of the new achievements was a dock for making repairs to the naval vessels as heavy as 800 tons. It took Navy experts two years to construct the dock.
Moreover, an RH naval helicopter and a combat chopper also joined the Navy’s fleet on Wednesday.
The Navy’s military parachute training center also started work in Bushehr.
Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.
Tehran has repeatedly stated that its military might is defensive in nature and poses no threat to other countries.
