Rouhani Congratulates Cuba on Revolution Anniversary
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Friday congratulated his Cuban counterpart on the 57th anniversary of the Caribbean country’s revolution.
In a message to Raul Castro Ruz, the President of the Council of State and Ministers of Republic of Cuba, Rouhani extended his “sincere” congratulations to Cuba’s nation and government, as the country celebrated the anniversary of the overthrow of the US-backed dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista by guerrilla forces, led by Fidel Castro, in 1959
The Iranian President expressed the hope that ties between Tehran and Havana would further develop in the light of the mutual cooperation between the two sides.
Rouhani also wished good health and success for Castro and prosperity for the Cuban nation.
