Despite Sanctions, Iran Has Worked Miracles in Scientific, Economic Fields, Analyst Says

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A prominent Lebanese university professor praised the Iranian nation’s achievements in science and economy since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, saying the country has taken “miraculous actions” despite the sanctions imposed by the West.

“In spite of the fact that Iran has faced decades of sanctions and economic blockade, it managed to take miraculous actions in the fields of economy and science during these years,” Mohammad al-Tai said in an interview with the Tasnim News Agency.

The senior analyst added that since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran has witnessed many technological advances.

He further praised the religious faith of the Iranian nation, saying that had it not been for this faith, the country would not have been able to resist the enmities and make such progress.

The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime on February 11, 1979, ending the 2,500 years of monarchy in the country.

Every year on February 11, millions of Iranian people of different social strata, carrying flags and banners in support of the Islamic Republic, pour into the streets in nationwide mass rallies to commemorate the anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Attending this year’s rallies, due to be held on Thursday, will be more than 450 foreign guests from 28 countries, including scientific, political, and influential figures from European, African, Asian, and American countries.

Over 5200 cameramen and journalists from Iran and other countries will cover the massive rallies.
