Iran Golden at World Paravolley Intercontinental Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s men sitting volleyball team won the title of the World Paravolley Intercontinental Cup on Wednesday.
The Iranian team defeated Brazil in three successive sets (25-20, 25-13, 25-14) in the gold medal match.
Davoud Alipourian was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
This year's Intercontinental Paravolley Cup was held from March 17 to 23 in Inji, Hangzhou City, China.
Iran’s women sitting volleyball team had finished fifth on Tuesday.
USA women sitting volleyball team won the title after beating host-nation China 3-1 (25-22, 12-25, 25-20, 28-26) in the final match.
