Esteghlal Khuzestan Wins Ahvaz Derby to Move IPL Top
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal Khuzestan moved to the top of the Iranian Professional League (IPL) with a 1-0 win over local rival Esteghlal Ahvaz on Friday.
Mehdi Eslami scored an own goal in the 69th minute.
Esteghlal Khuzestan moved to top of the IPL table with 46 points two points ahead of Esteghlal Tehran.
Esteghlal Tehran will play Sepahan on Sunday.
Elsewhere, Siahjamegan lost to Foolad 1-0, Gostaresh Foolad defeated Rah Ahan 3-2 and Saba downed Saipa 4-0.
