7,000 Palestinian Prisoners behind Israeli Bars


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Some 7,000 Palestinian prisoners are currently languishing in Israeli jails and detention centers, a statement by the Palestinian Prisoner Club said Sunday.

Marking the Palestinian Prisoner's day, the statement revealed that more than 400 of these inmates are children, while 69 of which are women.

The figures also showed a rise in the number of people held under administrative detention which reached 750 Palestinian prisoners, Petra News Agency reported.

At least 700 ill Palestinian prisoners including 30 of which are held in Al-Ramleh prison's clinic, the statement said.
