Iran Draws with Spain at FIFA Futsal World Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran has been drawn along with powerhouse Spain in the FIFA Futsal World Cup Colombia 2016.
Team Melli is in Group F along with Spain, Morocco, and Azerbaijan.
The 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup will be the 8th edition of the FIFA Futsal World Cup and will take place in Colombia from September 10 to October 1.
A total of 24 teams are divided into six groups of four teams with the top two in each section plus the four best third-placed teams will advance to the knockout phase.
The groups were defined as follows:
Group A: Colombia, Portugal, Uzbekistan, Panama
Group B: Thailand, Russia, Cuba, Egypt
Group C: Paraguay, Italy, Vietnam, Guatemala
Group D: Ukraine, Brazil, Mozambique, Australia
Group E: Argentina, Kazakhstan, Solomon Islands, Costa Rica
Group F: Iran, Spain, Morocco, Azerbaijan
