Two Iranian Hammer Throwers Book Olympics Berths
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Two Iranian hammer throwers booked two berths for the Rio Olympics Games on Sunday.
In the open competition held in Belarus, Kaveh Mousavi finished in second place with a 77.40 meters throw to surpass the Olympic qualification mark.
Pejman Ghalenoei also came third in the event with a throw of 77.18 meters and earned a quota place for Rio Olympics.
Iran will take part in the 2016 Olympic Games track and field with 10 athletes.
The Rio Olympics is slated to be held from August 5 to August 21.
