Radostin Stoychev Rejects Iran Volleyball Federation’s Offer

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Radostin Stoychev has rejected an offer from Iran Volleyball Federation.

General Secretary of Iran Volleyball Federation Mahmoud Afshardoost had previously said the federation is on the verge of reaching an agreement with the Bulgarian coach.

“We received an email from Stoychev last night. The coach wrote he is not interested in working with Iran national volleyball team,” Afshardoost told the Tasnim news agency.

“Stoychev said he cannot guarantee that they will qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. From now on, we will negotiate with the other candidates,” he added.

Iran is not going to renew Raul Lozano’s contract.

Under guidance of the Argentinean coach, Iran finished in fifth place in the 2016 Olympic Games.
